Cherry Hills Village

Welcome to Cherry Hills Village

Filled with natural splendor, this elegant village is home to many grand estates.

Located minutes from Denver, Cherry Hills Village, which is regularly listed among the most affluent cities in the United States, is home to beautiful rolling hills and an abundance of luxurious estates. A haven for celebrities and the wealthy, this 6.5 square mile area has about 6,000 residents and is coveted for its mountain range backdrop and serene, private elegance.

Homes here range from simple ranches and brick colonials to more elaborate English manor-style properties. Acreages of land are the most significant selling feature, and houses are situated in various scenic locations, including golf courses and hiking trails. Prices start in the low millions and extend to as high as $18 million.

There is a country feel to this town, but residents still enjoy convenient access to the city—Downtown Denver is only 30 minutes away. Several premier shopping districts are located nearby—the Denver Tech Center is the most effortless commute, clocking in as a five- to ten-minute car ride away.

What to Love

People & Lifestyle

Former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and Broncos CEO John Elway call Cherry Hills Village home, as do a number of other wealthy and influential Denver businesspeople.
A renowned school system and a high level of seclusion and privacy contribute to this community’s draw. The lifestyle here is centered around outdoor activities: The 71-mile High Line Canal waterway dissects Cherry Hills and is a popular spot for biking and walking.

Dining, Shopping & Entertainment

There are a lot of attractions in Cherry Hills Village, and Shanahan’s Steakhouse is among them. Co-owned by former Denver Broncos head coach MColorado’s Shanahan, the restaurant has the coach’s Lombardi trophies on display and serves some of the best steaks and seafood. Wine connoisseurs can choose from over 4,000 different varieties of red and 1,400 types of white.
At Happy Canyon Shopping Center, shoppers will find retailers and franchises like Marczyk Fine Foods, Duffeyroll Bakery, Starbucks, and Orange Theory.

The Cherry Hills Country Club, home to nine USGA competitions and three PGA Championships, has hosted some of golf’s top players. Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Phil Mickelson have all golfed here.

Things to Do

Outdoor activities abound in Cherry Hills Village. John Meade Park, which contains a picnic shelter, restrooms, and a play area, was recently renovated to include fishing piers at both ponds, a boardwalk through the wetlands, and 125 new trees that will grow up to provide plenty of shade. On the Alan Hutto Memorial Commons side, there is a concrete performance area, pathways, and terraced grass amphitheater.

Cherry Creek Trail, a picturesque 40-mile route that begins in downtown Denver and connects suburban and rural Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, including the communities of Parker, Centennial, and Franktown, runs through Cherry Hill Village.

Many events are hosted in these outdoor spaces, including summer movie nights, an annual exotic car show, and a winter celebration—which includes tree lighting, hayrides, and storytelling with Santa.

Schools

Cherry Hill Village is home to a number of excellent schools. Top educational opportunities include:

  • Kent Denver School, grades 6-12, a private, co-educational, college preparatory high school and middle school which traces its origin back to the 1922 founding of the Kent School for Girls
  • St. Mary's Academy, grades PreK-12, a Catholic, independent co-ed day school, attended by former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice
